Privacy Policy

The short version: ShowTracker collects no personal data. There is no account and no sign-up. Everything you track lives on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud. We have no servers that store your data, and we don’t use analytics, advertising, or trackers of any kind.

This policy explains how ShowTracker (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by ThoThi, handles information. It applies to the ShowTracker iOS app.

What we collect

Nothing. ShowTracker does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your personal data, and we do not have access to what you track.

Data stored on your device

The shows and movies you follow, your watch progress, ratings, and notes are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database. This information stays on your device unless you enable iCloud sync (below). Deleting the app removes this data from the device.

iCloud sync (optional)

If you are signed in to iCloud, ShowTracker can sync your library across your own devices using Apple’s CloudKit private database. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, and is not accessible to us. We cannot read, collect, or share anything stored there. You can turn iCloud off at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Show & movie information

To show details, posters, air dates, and streaming availability, the app requests information from The Movie Database (TMDB) and, for “where to watch” data, JustWatch (via TMDB). When you search or open a title, your query and standard technical request information (such as your IP address) are sent to TMDB to return results. We do not send TMDB any account information — you don’t have one. Your use of that data is subject to TMDB’s privacy policy.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Notifications

New-episode reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. There is no push server, and we receive no information about which notifications you get. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings or within the app.

Analytics, advertising & tracking

ShowTracker contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not profile you, and we do not track you across apps or websites. Under Apple’s App Privacy definitions, the app collects no data.

Sharing & selling of data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — because we don’t collect it. If you use the export feature, a file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.

Children’s privacy

ShowTracker does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. As no personal data is collected, the app is safe to use without providing personal information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
